What is .NEXT Conference and who attends?

.NEXT Conference is the IT industry’s leading datacenter and cloud conference where Executives, IT infrastructure and operations leaders, architects, devops practitioners and partners learn and discuss state-of-the-art practices on how to build and run enterprise clouds, on their terms, that provide agility and foster innovation to give businesses a competitive edge.


When is .NEXT Conference?

.NEXT Conference Europe 2018 will take place 27 – 29 November 2018 at ExCeL in London, UK

What is the primary language spoken at .NEXT?

English is the official language of the conference including all general sessions, breakout sessions, and hands-on labs. If you wish to attend sessions in your local language, please contact nextreg@nutanixevents.com for more information.


Is there an age minimum for .NEXT Conference?

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend the conference, solutions expo and the evening events and party.


Is there a dress code or recommended conference attire?

Casual/Business casual is appropriate. Dressing in layers is recommended as the conference center temperature varies throughout.


Who do I contact for questions?

Registration

What are the registration fees for .NEXT Conference?

You can visit the registration page for pricing and discount deadlines.


What payments do you accept for .NEXT Conference registration?

When registering, you may pay by credit card. All registration fees will have a 20% VAT tax added.


Are there any discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for groups, .NEXT alumni and Nutanix partners, as well as Early Bird pricing for all attendee types. Nutanix Partners and Early Bird pricing will be applied directly in registration, if applicable.


What is included in the registration fee?

Your full conference registration fee includes the following:

  • - Welcome reception
  • - Keynotes
  • - Breakout sessions (Please note: Some sessions are restricted to Nutanix partners or other select groups of attendees)
  • - Hands-on Labs
  • - .NEXT party
  • - Solutions Expo
  • - Scheduled meals and refreshments

Is there a deadline for registration?

No, you can register online up until the start of the conference and onsite once the conference opens (dependant on pass availability and the conference selling out). Early Bird Discounts end Sept 1.


What is the cancellation policy?

All registration cancellation requests must be submitted by email to nextreg@nutanixevents.com.

Cancellations will incur a $75 USD processing fee before November 12th, 2018. After November 12th, there is a 50% refund on the registration fee paid. If you need to cancel your registration, you will be refunded the original amount paid in USD. Please note that there may be a difference in the refund received based on the exchange rate at that time. No accommodations will be made for the difference in the exchange rate.


Can I register for both .NEXT Conference Europe and US?

Each event is separate and you will need to register and pay for each independently.


How do I modify my registration?

If you need to make any edits to your registration, please log back into the registration website and enter your confirmation number or email nextreg@nutanixevents.com.


Why do we charge VAT?

Article 53 of the EU VAT Directive (Council Directive 2006/112/EC) says that for the right of entry to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment, marketing or similar events in exchange for a ticket or payment, the place of supply is where the event physically takes place. As the. NEXT events in November are held in the UK, the place of supply is UK.


HMRC -(UK tax office) has provided a very clear guidance in connection to event similar to Nutanix .NEXT so called land related services. 9.2- B2B suppliers of admission to an event.

Our sponsorship program gives right to access to our sponsors and a dedicated place during the events. Unfortunately, this means we must add 20% VAT to all delegate places and sponsorship packages that includes access passes. This is regardless of where your company is based.


Can I claim it back?

Most attendees are able to claim back their VAT once it has been paid and we are very happy to provide invoices to help you do this as Nutanix has got a UK -VAT registration.


How can I claim it?

1. UK partners will claim back VAT in the monthly VAT return

    1. Partners from other EU countries will claim back VAT using so called 8th Directive procedure.

    2. Partners out of EU for instance in US are able to claim back VAT using so called 13th Directive procedure


The refund scheme allows non-EU businesses to reclaim VAT on certain expenses incurred in the EU for business purposes. The business must not be registered for VAT in the UK nor registered for VAT elsewhere in the EU. Typical expenses that would bear VAT for an overseas business are admissions to exhibitions/conferences/training events, hotel bills, car hire, subsistence, local purchases of goods etc.


Partners should reach out to their Tax advisors for further guidance.



Access

Will I need a badge to enter the conference?

Yes, you will be required to wear a conference badge at all times. Badges can be picked up at the .NEXT registration desk during open registration hours. You will need to provide identification for security purposes upon picking up your badge. If you should misplace your badge, the registration desk can assist with a re-print, proper identification will be required.


Do I need a visa to attend the conference?

There are a few countries that require a visa for entry. We recommend checking in advance with your country's local British consulate for details and requirements.


How do I obtain a visa invitation letter?

You will be asked if you require a visa letter during the registration process. You will need to provide the following information:

  • - Full name on passport
  • - Date of birth and place of birth
  • - Gender
  • - Nationality
  • - Passport number, place of issue, date of issue, and date of expiration
  • - Are you a government official

Attendees are provided an opportunity to request a letter during the registration process. If answering 'yes' to the question "Do you need a Visa invitation letter", required fields will collect information to merge into a Visa letter that attendees will have access to download/print from the confirmation page after payment is made.


Can I bring a guest?

Guest may attend the evening party-capacity permitting. Wristbands for guests can be picked up onsite at the registration desk on a first come first serve basis.



Meals

Are meals provided?

Breakfast will be provided at each .NEXT Conference hotel. Please check with your hotel upon check-in for specific time and location for breakfast offerings.

Lunch and snacks are provided to all attendees throughout the conference.


Are special dietary requirements accommodated with the meals at .NEXT?

Yes, please note any special dietary requests during the registration process. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available at all conference meal functions. For additional restrictions, there will be a designated area at the conference where you can pick up any special meal needs.



Housing and Travel

Do I need to contact the hotel to book my reservation?

No, during the online registration process you will be able to request a hotel based upon your check-in and check-out dates. Reservations must be booked through the registration website In order to receive the contracted group rate.


Do I need to provide a credit card to reserve my hotel room?

Yes, your credit card information will be required to confirm and guarantee your reservation at a hotel within the .NEXT Conference hotel block. Some hotels will charge a deposit on the card prior to arrival.


Will I receive a hotel confirmation?

You will receive your final hotel confirmation email with your hotel confirmation number in November prior to arrival. After you complete your registration, your registration confirmation letter will restate your chosen hotel and hotel dates.


Can I book my hotel room if I am not registered for .NEXT Conference Europe 2018?

You may book a hotel directly. However, to take advantage of .NEXT Conference discounted room rates, you must be registered for .NEXT Conference Europe 2018 and make your hotel arrangements through the registration booking process.


What are the hotel rates?

There will be multiple options for hotels, depending on the dates of travel selected and how early registration is completed. The rate at each hotel can be viewed upon registering. The average hotel rate is £215 per night.


How close are the hotels to the ExCeL?

There are 10+ hotels in our block located throughout East London, Canary Wharf and Docklands.


Are shuttles available between the .NEXT hotels and ExCeL?

There will be shuttles available between the hotels and ExCeL for hosted evening events on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition, Nutanix will provide Oyster Cards that will allow travel across London for main conference dates (pick up instructions to come).

If I drive to ExCel, where should I park?

ExCel Center has ample parking available. If driving, please park in the Orange Zone 9 in order to easily access the .NEXT meeting space. Parking is 20 GBP per day (24 hours). Please visit the .NEXT registration desk to receive a pre-paid parking ticket daily. The ticket will need to be displayed in your vehicle, so please visit the registration desk upon your arrival.

Where can I find more information of the content at .NEXT Conference Europe 2018?

Please check the .NEXT Conference website for continued updates to content, keynotes, breakout session, training courses and more. The .NEXT Conference Europe 2018 agenda builder (available early September 2018) will provide a comprehensive list of breakout sessions, hands-on labs, and other sessions. Registered attendees can pre register for sessions and begin building out your personal agenda.


Can I access the material presented at the conference?

Yes, the presentations and a copy of the recording from the keynotes will be posted one week after the conclusion of .NEXT Conference Europe 2018.
